Zuni Tribe of New Mexico Purchases AeroCare Medical Transport

Zuni, NM - The Zuni Tribe is pleased to announce the majority purchase of AeroCare Medical Transport and Flight Concepts of Tulsa, OK. AeroCare Medical Transport, founded in 1989, has provided fixed-wing air medical transport to rural communities in Arizona and New Mexico for over seven years. “This transaction is a very positive development,” stated Pueblo of Zuni Governor Norman Cooyeyate. “we are not only able to provide this critical service to residents of our region, but create economic and employment opportunity for our people.”

About Zuni Tribe: The Zuni Pueblo is located in the northwestern part of New Mexico. The pueblo, consisting of approximately 12,000 people and covering 418,304 acres, is about 35 miles south of Gallup, NM and 150 miles west of Albuquerque, NM. An elected governor, lieutenant governor and a six member Tribal Council govern the Zuni Tribe.
